Home Coming 2

Home Coming

The coming days
Will bring a face
We have hardly known.
Though foreign it may seem
deeply its eyes my gleam
it is in fact your own.
A version of you
so miraculous
has long awaited, Dear.
When you thought
that things were bad
it was actually your soul drawing near.
The intensity
you’ve felt ’til now,
it’s been nothing short of cosmic.
The new ways
your brain lights up
like a divine cow lick.
It’s become
You-o-clock,
which would have brought
the old “you” to their knees.
But in this shiny coat
of your true soul
you’re endless
boundless
free.
Below the stutter
below the shutter
below the shame and
hesitation.
We found the secret
to letting go
of all humiliation.
It was giving up!
Saying “I quit!”
once
and
for all.
To simply quit
what you can never win
is how the humble never fall.
I saw you then
break away
the tether snapped in two.
Like an explosion of
toxic sludge
a crisp has burnt Anew.
Behold the only
one and only
with urgency of breath.
The time was nigh
until you arrived
and you must know the rest.
You remembered.
Yes you remembered.
And with your
presence
most profound
now we all are blessed.
Curtain lifted
movements
delicious,
space combined with form.
This new you is now the norm.
